Conditions of Adoption
A cat is a living being with an average lifespan of 15 years. To adopt a cat is to get into a long-term commitment and as such, there are conditions to the adoption.
Breeding Birmans is our passion and we care deeply about our cats and kittens. When sending a kitten to its forever home, we must not regret it and feel like it was a mistake. The kittens' well-being is our top priority.
Therefore, we reserve the right to refuse an adoption if we deem it necessary.
The exact price is determined according to the cat's color and whether it is a show quality or a pet quality cat.
The price includes vaccination, deworming, sterilization, pedigree and a kitten kit.
We understand that a purebred cat represents a cost. Therefore, it is possible to pay in several instalments. The cat will remain a property of the cattery until the whole balance is paid.
Research the breed and cat ownership, if it is your first time owning a cat. Make sure that a Birman is the right cat for you and that you can give it the proper care it deserves. Figure out which gender and color you prefer in your kitten.
Choose a kitten. This can be done either by checking our available kittens, or by contacting us - we can tell you about the kittens in the cattery, when are the next litters planned, write down your ideal kitten and let you know when we get one.
Contact us. Tell us which kitten you would like to adopt. If it is available, you will be able to make a soft reservation.
To adopt a kitten, it is a requirement to visit the cattery at least once. It is both for us to know the person adopting, and for you to see the cattery and meet your possible future cat.
After the visit, you will be able to reserve the kitten. A deposit of 300€ is required to complete the reservation. The deposit is non-returnable if the reservation is cancelled less than 2 weeks before the kitten is supposed to leave.
When it is the time for the kitten to leave, you will have to come pick it up - we don't send our kittens through 3rd parties. At the cattery, you will pay the remaining balance and sign the adoption contract, upon which the kitten is officially yours! You will leave with your kitten, its certificates and a kitten kit.
About Us
and I am the owner of this small family cattery. Birman cats have
been my passion for more than 18 years, and to live surrounded by
my four-legged friends, my sacred cats of Burma, brings me joy
every day.
My goal is to be a part of building and improving this very
special breed.
I carry only a few litters per year, as | wish to remain a family
breeder for the happiness of my sacred Birman females, and thus
give my kittens the best possible start to their lives.
Our kingdom is located
in Boissy St. Léger, Val de Marne (94)
The reason is simple - we love this breed, its character and its
beauty.
I first encountered Birman cats on vacation. The moment | saw a
Birman cat l fell in love with it. And as soon as Lhad the
opportunity, l bought a little Seal Point kitten. | did not know the
criteria for choosing a Sacred Birman at that time. But Lwas lucky,
he turned out to be a superb quality Birman and that's how | started
my exhibition career.
Over the time | presented with many Birmans, one of which got the
highest title Great European Champion).
Eventually, | began with breeding. My objective was always to remain a family breeder, in order to share the same affection with all my companions, and of course their kittens so that they make their new owners happy.
The journey of this kingdom began in Egypt, where I first
encountered the Sacred cat of Burma.
As we wanted to pay homage to this place, we decided to name our
cattery Kingdom of Nefer/Royaume de Nefer, referencing the great
ancient queens of Egypt, Nefertiti and Nefertari.
When a kitten is born in the kingdom, | try to give them a name of a
King or a Queen or a deity, thus matching the affix. For example, in
the year of the R, we had Rama (Indian king) and
Rhea (Jordanian queen). For letter S we had
Sisi (beautiful empress in a white dress"). Other
kittens born were named Venerha, Ramses, etc.
My favourite Birmans that came from this kingdom, whether pets or breeders:
All cats live with us in the house. No door is closed to them and we enjoy their company.
